Source Technologies’ CXK20 Check Imager/Retainer Designed for Self-Service SolutionsSubmitted by epayments on June 28, 2007 - 9:52pm.Increases Functionality of Transactional Self-Service Kiosks CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(www.AllPayNews.com)--Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced the availability of the CXK20, a check imager and retainer specifically designed for transactional self-service applications. With the new CXK20, kiosk-equipped retailers and financial institutions can securely accept checks at the kiosk. The CXK20 reads and decodes the MICR line, images and stamps both the front and back of the check, and prints the endorsement, all in a single pass. Depending on a merchant’s check processing scheme, it can securely retain the check in compliance with Check 21 guidelines, or return it to the customer. The CXK20 can retain up to 190 checks between servicing. It is compatible with Source Technologies’ Concourse 3-, 5- and 7-series kiosks. “As one of the earliest providers of transactional kiosks, we saw the need for a check scanner built specifically for self-service kiosk transactions,” said Bill Lynch, vice president of self-service at Source Technologies. “In reviewing our options from other vendors, we found scanners that retain checks to be too big and too expensive. We designed the CXK20 specifically to support the various applications of our transactional kiosk customers.” About Source Technologies Founded in 1986, Charlotte, N.C.-based Source Technologies is a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes.
