NetSpend Appoints Chuck Harris as President

AUSTIN, Texas - (AllPayNews) NetSpend, a leading provider of prepaid debit cards and other alternative financial services solutions to underbanked consumers in the United States, announced today that Chuck Harris has been appointed to the position of president at the Austin-based company. Chuck joins NetSpend from Intuit where he served as general manager of the company’s Payment Solutions Division. Chuck will relocate from Los Angeles toAustin and will be based at NetSpend’s corporate headquarters.

At NetSpend, Chuck will report directly to chief executive officer Dan Henry and have responsibility for the partner, direct and corporate paycard lines of business as well as the company’s customer service operations.

“Chuck is a 20-plus year veteran of the payments industry and brings a unique skill set and background to NetSpend,” said Henry. “His depth of experience will elevate our ability to bring accessible and affordable financial services to the 60 million underbanked consumers in this country. Before his role at Intuit, Chuck served as CEO, president and COO of Electronic Clearing House (ECHO), an electronic payment solutions provider that was acquired by Intuit in 2007. Prior to ECHO, Chuck was president of Merchant Link, a subsidiary of Paymentech. Earlier in his career, Chuck held several additional roles at Paymentech including group executive of Client Relations as well as leading the company’s strategic partnership initiatives.
