Orbograph Integrates Parascript’s Check Recognition and Verification to Process Brazilian Checks

The technology will be included in Orbograph’s recognition software solution to enable the processing of Brazilian checks. CheckPlus International for Brazil automates courtesy and legal amount recognition (CAR/LAR) on personal and business checks to dramatically reduce labor costs and errors associated with check processing. CheckPlus International is currently deployed in Portugal, France, Italy, India and other markets.

CheckPlus International Brazil can process the entire stream of machine printed and handwritten checks. Depending on country, the check recognition technology automatically locates and recognizes amount fields, the payee line, MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) line, checksum, and others, as well as performs signature verification to help financial institutions prevent fraud.
